Tragic South Carolina Accident Kills Teenage Driver

Serious car crashes are tragic for a number of reasons. They are entirely unexpected, and they often leave victims with serious injuries. Although all accidents cause some degree of stress and hardship, the most devastating wrecks are those that claim the lives of young victims. This was the case in a recent South Carolina accident.

WYFF reports that a teenage driver died when she swerved off the road and crashed into a tree. The young girl was driving on South Carolina Highway 67 at approximately 11:15 p.m. when she veered off the roadway.

She was wearing a seatbelt at the time, but this was not enough to save her from serious injuries. A coroner says the teenager died on the scene due to blunt force trauma resulting from the impact.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident and possible reasons why the young driver suddenly lost control of her vehicle.
